Expertise Throughout the trade Life cycle
- Model A/Client’s Own Network— provision of a clearing, settlement and custody system that overlays the client’s own agent network books and records that can be consumed by the client. Client retains counterparty risk on open trades
- Model B/Fully Disclosed— provision of a clearing, settlement and custody system that overlays BNY Pershing’s own global agent network, ensuring all transactions are captured on the books and records provided within the Nexus platform. Operational service is equivalent to business processing outsourcing (BPO) with BNY Pershing standing behind its client in the event of failure by the latter, providing surety of settlement to the counterparty. BNY Pershing does not assume counterparty risk and will look to its client for recourse on failed trades
