In 1988, BNY established a presence in Korea. Since then, our work in Korea has been defined by a desire to innovate and drive positive changes for our clients.

1988
Established BNY Seoul Branch.
1991
Launched Conventional Trust services for Korea’s offshore sovereign securities.
1994
Sponsored Korea's first American Depositary Receipt (ADR).
2006
Established BNY Investment Management Representative Office in Seoul.
2008
Served as Collateral Management agent for the first tripartite equity financing trade in Korea.
2010
Established BNY Investment Management Company in Korea
2017
Re-opened BNY Foreign Exchange Desk and Dealing Room in Korea.
2019
Opened a BNY Representative Office in Jeonju.
2023
Established BNY Investment Management Jeonju Contact Office.
