In 1974, BNY established a presence in Singapore. Since then, our work in Singapore has been defined by a desire to innovate and drive positive change for our clients.
By connecting with our global network, which provides services in more than 100 markets, we seamlessly integrate our wide range of platforms and solutions to help our Singapore clients conduct business and transact in markets around the world.

Our History
OUR MILESTONES
1974
BNY Singapore branch was established to provide a broad spectrum of technology and investment solutions to help organizations better serve clients.
1999
Global Clearing and Collateral platform established its Singapore team, helping clients finance their Asian and international assets.
2003
BNY Pershing provided U.S. execution, clearing, settlement and custody to leading financial institutions in Singapore.
2016
BNY opened its Global Innovation Center in Singapore.
2017
BNY established a successful Depositary Receipt (DR) program for Sea Limited, one of Singapore's largest technology conglomerates.
2020
BNY was appointed on the first Catastrophe Bond issued in Singapore.
2021
BNY expanded its foreign exchange (FX) footprint in Singapore with the launch of the eFX Pricing and Trading Engine.
2023
Global Payments & Trade introduced a blockchain-based proof-of-concept to reduce cost and settlement time on cross-border FX payments.
2023
Asset Servicing won the "Best New Asset Servicing Project" in the inaugural Global Custodian Awards in Singapore for its transformational investment accounting initiative with the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) Malaysia.
2025
OpenEden selects BNY to provide Investment Management and Custody Services for its Tokenized U.S. Treasury Bills Fund.
2026
BNY opened its new office at Marina One in Singapore, underscoring our continued investment in the market and supporting collaboration, innovation and future growth.
