BNY established its Brussels operations center in January 1996 and, in 2008, established The Bank of New York Mellon SA/NV (“European Bank”), its European banking entity. Headquartered in Belgium, the European Bank serves as BNY’s global custodian and fund servicing entity for clients across the European Union (“EU”) and the European Free Trade Association (“EFTA”). Through this entity, BNY delivers a broad range of financial services. The European Bank operates through its Belgium headquarters and a branch network spanning Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, and Spain.
