For the fourth year running, Hedgeweek has named BNY Mellon’s HedgeMark Dedicated Managed Account platform as ‘Best Managed Account Platform.’ Hedgeweek presented the award on March 9 at its annual Global Awards dinner in London.
A wide range of stakeholders determine the award winners, including Hedgeweek subscribers, investors and managers as well as other industry professionals at firms including fund administrators, custodians, accountants and auditors, law firms, consultants, and fund distributors.
Consistent with this fourth consecutive win, HedgeMark added more than US$4.6 billion in platform assets and launched 36 funds in 2017, a record-breaking year for the business.
"We are enormously pleased by this recognition," said Andrew Lapkin, HedgeMark CEO. "The industry is acknowledging our continued investment in expanding the breadth of our offering as well as the sophistication of our DMA technology and its analytic components."

HedgeMark specializes in supporting institutional clients in the development and operation of their own private hedge fund dedicated managed account (DMA) platforms. HedgeMark builds and operates private platforms for its clients, giving them greater autonomy from hedge fund managers with position-level risk and performance analytics, increased customization, transparency, and control of their hedge fund investments.
“Beyond our technology, our team meets client needs with leadership comprised of experienced industry veterans across various disciplines including structuring, onboarding, operations, accounting, risk, and technology. We couple these capabilities with the institutional scale and stability of BNY Mellon,” added Lapkin. “It’s clearly a winning combination.”
