Our History
OUR MILESTONES
1980
The Bank of New York established a presence in Brazil with the opening of a representative office in São Paulo.
1993
Launched the first Depositary Receipts program for a Brazilian company to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
1997
Establishment of Mellon Brascan in Brazil, duly authorized by the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission, with a focus on securities portfolio administration and asset management.
2000
Ranked among the 20 largest administrators in the Brazilian market.
2007
Merger of The Bank of New York and Mellon Financial Corporation, resulting in the formation of BNY Mellon and the expansion of its global presence.
2012
Authorization granted from the Brazilian Central Bank to operate as a bank in the country.
2023
Ranked as the second‑largest independent administrator* in the Brazilian market.

BNY DTVM also provides fund accounting and fund controlling services, custody services, fund distribution and transfer agency services, net asset value (NAV) calculation services for offshore investment funds, and legal representation services for non-resident investors.
