Jennifer Xi is Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of BNY and ex-officio member of the Executive Committee. She also co-leads BNY’s People, Engagement & Impact organization alongside Sarah Atkinson, Chief Talent Officer.  

In this role, Jennifer oversees the firm’s public policy and government affairs, regulatory relations, philanthropy and community impact, communications, people governance, and employee relations teams.  Together, these teams help shape BNY’s approach to the complex legislative, regulatory and geopolitical landscape across stakeholders, and builds on the company’s role as a trusted partner to clients, colleagues, policymakers, and communities.  

Jennifer previously held senior leadership roles within the company’s legal, government and regulatory affairs functions. Prior to joining BNY in 2014, Jennifer was an attorney covering Dodd-Frank, Basel and other post-crisis reforms at Covington & Burling.  

Jennifer holds a B.A. in Economics and Government from Dartmouth College and a J.D. from Georgetown Law School. She is based in Washington, D.C.
