COMMUNITY CHAMPIONS IN ACTION
We encourage employees to make a difference by being community champions through the Giving at BNY program. Eligible employees benefit from volunteer time off and a company-matching donation made to that organization. BNY also incentivizes charitable donations to nonprofits by matching employee donations.
Since the program first launched in 2008, BNY employees have volunteered 1.6 million hours, valued at more than $50 million, with employee donations and company-matching contributions accounting for more than $200 million to nonprofit organizations around the globe.*

GAME-CHANGING IMPACT
A Fresh Batch of Tech Tools
BNY engineers partnered with Dog Tag —a non-profit that operates a bakery, which serves as a living business school for veterans, their spouses and caregivers. Our volunteers helped streamline Dog Tag’s technology stack to increase efficiency and expand the organization’s impact.

In the Business of Accesibility
A team from BNY Pershing developed a comprehensive business plan to help launch a revenue-generating accessibility testing lab with Helen Keller Services, which will further support their mission-driven work.

EMPOWERING
COMMUNITIES
BNY has a strong history spanning over 240 years, during which we have remained dedicated to making a positive impact on the communities where we live and work. We leverage the full capabilities of our firm - including employee giving, time, and talent - to address some of today’s most significant challenges to empower communities and create opportunities for all to thrive.
Our strategic efforts focus on advancing social mobility to reduce inequality and wealth gaps, strengthening financially underserved communities by expanding equitable access to financial systems and building a more resilient future by fostering innovation and capacity building for small businesses and non-profits.
Support for eligible organizations
BNY will consider support for organizations that fit within our funding priorities and the company’s geographical footprint. In the United States, the organization must have an IRS designation of 501(c)(3). Organizations in other countries must meet requirements for their respective country’s governance.
