Who can be a BNY Pre-intern?
UNDERGRADS
U.S. undergraduate freshman and sophomore students not requiring sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future
ALL MAJORS
Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college pursuing a bachelor’s degree; strong focus on business-related and/or computer science-related majors
GPA 3.0+
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better to be considered

FRESHMAN JUMPSTART
A virtual summer experience consisting of two half-day sessions designed to introduce first-year undergraduate students to the financial services industry.
Program Highlights:
- Global Business Experience through dynamic spotlight sessions, diving deep into key areas of the financial services industry while uncovering the in-demand skills that will help you jumpstart your career.
- Gain Real-world Insight from current interns and analysts who will share firsthand experiences and practical advice on how to thrive while navigating your early career journey.
- Develop Your Professional Growth with targeted workshops on essential skills, including networking strategies, personal branding and how to set yourself up for success throughout your undergraduate years and beyond.
- Build Foundational Skills through engaging discussions and thought-provoking questions, all designed to develop your critical thinking, communications and problem-solving abilities.
Program Dates & Tracks:
- Enterprise (includes all business functions): Tuesday, July 14 – Wednesday, July 15.
Eligibility: Undergraduate freshmen pursuing a bachelor's degree at an accredited college/university with expected graduation date of December 2028 or May 2029.

SOPHOMORE SUMMIT
A virtual summer experience consisting of three dynamic sessions across six weeks, designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge needed to help launch your career in the financial services industry.
Program Highlights:
- Explore Our Business through interactive sessions designed to help you uncover which areas of financial services best align with your unique skills and career aspirations.
- Learn From Current and Former Interns as they share their personal experiences and insights on how BNY supports early career growth and development at every stage.
- Engage With Senior Leaders across the company to gain insights into our commitment to fostering a collaborative and supportive work culture.
- Tackle a Business Case or Coding Challenge where you'll apply your skills to solve real-world problems, demonstrating your ability to innovate and create impactful solutions.
- Be Considered for a spot in the 2027 Summer Internship Program, setting you up for an accelerated path to future opportunities at BNY.
Program Dates & Tracks:
- Engineering/Technology Track: Wednesdays — May 20, June 3, and June 17
- Enterprise Track (includes Corporate Functions, BNY Investments, BNY Wealth, Market and Wealth Services, and Securities Services): Wednesdays — May 27, June 10, and June 24
Eligibility: Undergraduate sophomores pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an accredited college/university with expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
