Jim Crowley is Executive Vice Chair at BNY and a member of the BNY Executive Committee. In this role, Jim focuses on strengthening and expanding client relationships across the enterprise, leveraging his deep commercial expertise. Jim is an influential client leader and plays a critical role in telling the BNY story, advancing the firm’s global reach and ensuring clients benefit from the full breadth of BNY’s capabilities. 

Prior to becoming Executive Vice Chair, Jim held numerous leadership roles at BNY Pershing, including serving as Global Head, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Relationship Officer. Throughout his tenure, he has driven growth, championed sustainable and resilient business strategies and fostered strong relationships across the industry. His leadership has also been instrumental in integrating BNY Pershing within BNY and positioning the business for continued innovation. 

Jim earned his bachelor’s degree from Florida State University. He is a member of the Board of Governors of FINRA and previously served on the Boards of Directors of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) and the Financial Services Institute (FSI). Jim is also a member of the Advisory Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Essex, Hudson and Union Counties in New Jersey.
