BNY commits to a public diversity goal.
BNY became a signatory of the HM Treasury Women in Finance Charter in 2016 and has subsequently become a founding signatory to Charters in Ireland, Belgium, and Luxembourg. These unified undertakings support our three strategic pillars to be more for our clients, run our company better and power our culture.
BNY set a goal to increase representation of women in senior management across EMEA from 28% in 2020 to 33% by the end of 2025. As of December 31, 2023, 33% of EMEA senior management are women and we have met our goal ahead of time. As of August 2024, representation has decreased slightly to 32.2% but we are still on track to meet our goal by the end of 2025.
BNY recognizes the importance of shaping a responsible, representative and resilient financial sector and is committed to being a destination for top talent. To enhance employee experience and a sense of belonging, BNY has launched a market-leading well-being and healthcare provision, a hybrid work environment and global, gender-agnostic, family-friendly policies supporting new parents and caregivers.
Our six employee and business resource groups (“E/BRGs”) support our diverse workforce and help ensure that a wide range of perspectives and rich experience contributes to our performance and ultimately our clients’ success.
