The Bank of New York Company, Inc. to Present at Lehman Brothers Financial Services Conference

NEW YORK, May 4, 2007--The Bank of New York Company, Inc. announced today that Christopher Sturdy, executive vice president and head of the depositary receipt division, is scheduled to present at the Lehman Brothers Financial Services Conference at 10:15 a.m. BST (5:15 a.m. EDT) on Thursday, May 17, 2007, at the Lehman Brothers European Headquarters in London, England. The presentation will be webcast and will include information on the Company’s depositary receipt business and its future outlook.

The live webcast and slides from the presentation will be available on the Company’s website at www.bankofny.com/presentations. Replays of the webcast will be available at the same link following the conclusion of the presentation.
