New Services Reflect Next Phase of Strategic Alliance with Wilshire AssociatesNEW YORK, July 20, 2006 -- The Bank of New York, a global leader in securities servicing, has begun offering its institutional clients new and enhanced risk and performance analytics for both global equity and fixed income assets as part of its strategic alliance with Wilshire Associates.
The new analytical capabilities enable institutional investors to identify, monitor and allocate risk across a wide variety of factors, including by region, country, industry, investment style, sector and currency. Investment managers also gain access to fully transparent methodologies that help them examine their portfolios’ total and relative risk.
Clients now have the ability to immediately access an extensive array of detailed reporting options through INFORMsm, the Bank’s Internet-based information delivery and transaction platform, or through direct access to Wilshire’s applications. These reports provide on-demand, customized snapshots of risk on virtually any aspect of portfolio holdings on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
“Our clients have told us they want flexibility and choice with their attribution programs, as well as a fully transparent fixed income option to complement the equity offering. Our new services meet all of those objectives,” said Debra Baker, managing director and head of Global Risk Services. “For the institutional investors who rely on us to move and manage their assets globally, this represents a powerful addition to our suite of services and highlights the client-focused benefits created by our alliance with Wilshire Associates.”
With the initial rollout, clients with more than $300 billion of assets have already converted onto the new attribution products.
The new services represent the latest in a series of products that have been introduced to clients as a result of the strategic alliance between the Bank and Wilshire Associates. The next phase of the alliance will include new risk budgeting capabilities, which will be released later this year.
