NEW YORK, N.Y., July 29, 2003 - The Bank of New York today announced that Keith Ackerman has joined BNY Securities Group as a senior vice president of BNY Research, Commission and Payment Services, LLC. Mr. Ackerman will report to John D. Meserve, president of the unit. BNY Research, Commission and Payment Services is the holding company for Westminster Research Associates, Inc. and BNY Jaywalk, Inc., member companies of BNY Securities Group.
Prior to joining the Bank, Mr. Ackerman was a senior vice president at Instinet Corporation, a subsidiary of Reuters Plc., where he was responsible for the global research division. Before that, he was a part of the management team of a PricewaterhouseCoopers' strategy and business development unit and was president of Price Waterhouse Publications, LLC, a wholly owned Price Waterhouse subsidiary. Mr. Ackerman received a Bachelor of Arts from Tufts University and a Master of Business Administration from the Fordham University Graduate School of Business.
